Some people say that rodeo is animal abuse but those are the people who  don’t know anything about rodeo. Riding bucking horses is not animal abuse and it is not hurting them because the straps that we use on the horses are lined with fur so it has padding and it does not hurt then. The horses do not buck because they are being made to do it, they do it because they like to and they are bred to do that. Using spurs is not hurting the animals. Using spurs doesn’t hurt the horses because we do not stable the horses with them. When spurs are in use, we just tap them or roll them softly so it does not hurt them. The animals that are used are well taken care of and loved. All the animals that are used in the rodeo get fed very expensive food and they get loved and the horses get brushed every day.

Riding bucking horses is not animal abuse and it is not hurting them. The straps do not cover genitalia in any way or cause pain to the animal. If the straps were tightened too tightly, the animal would refuse to move, much less buck. When we ride the horses the cinches are lined with a soft fur to stop them from hurting the horse. The horses are bucking because they are bred to do that they are not being made to do that.

Using spurs in not hurting the horses. Spurs do not hurt the horse if they are used correctly. Spurs should never be used by an inexperienced rider: in order to use spurs, you have to be experienced enough to be able to control your legs and not squeeze the horse’s sides for support (Do Spurs hurt the Horses?). Spurs are not used to hurt the horses, it is used to correct their mistakes or to encourage them to go faster; it does not hurt them.

The animals that are used in the rodeos are well taken care of and loved. Rodeo animals are taken care of better than most family pets. The rodeo animals get expensive food, brushed everyday if they are not getting ridden every day then they are out in the pasture for the day and will come in at night they do not get ridden everyday but they do get exercised. Rodeo animals are taken care of better than most family pets (Yeoman).

Some people believe that Rodeos are animal abuse, not entertainment ( Rodeos Are Animal Abuse, Not Entertainment ). However, rodeo animals are taken care of better than most family pets. So, please, let’s all take one small step toward educating the people instead of providing so much misinformation to them (Yeoman ). Rodeo is not animal abuse. Riding bucking horses is not animal abuse and it is not hurting them. Using spurs is not hurting the animals. The animals that are used are well taken care of and loved. Maybe if the people that say that do their research and come to more rodeos they will see that we do not hurt the animals.
