Think Pink

Erron Dela Cruz, Grade 12

In the month of October, every year Honokaa High School’s leadership class arranges a day for students to wear pink, and a lunch event that brings the school together to raise awareness of breast cancer. The leadership class of 2021 – 2022 arranged a few mini-games for students, along with a live performance from Honokaa’s very own, ensemble class band,  courtesy of Gary Washburn. While hundreds of pink balloons fill up the school, students gather around to sing along and dance to the live music. Having such an event has allowed students to post on social media, and talk to others about the amazing goal we set forth to provide awareness about breast cancer.
