Fire Keepers Daughter

Book Review

Fire Keepers Daughter

KaiyuRose Losalio-Henson, Gr. 9

In English class, last quarter, I read “Firekeepers Daughter”  by  Native American author, Angeline Boulley. In reviewing this book, I give it a 10/10 because of the exposition and descriptive language of the setting, the scenic view above the town and on Sugar Island. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes crime-solving, mysterious backgrounds, and twists and turns surrounding the main character. I would also recommend this book to anyone who loves a good descriptive point of view giving the reader a feeling of actually being involved in the storyline. We feel for Daunis, the main character who used to have a regular life as a hockey-playing college student, who changes and morphs into something unforgettable as she uncovers a crime in her community and struggles with the tragic news that comes into her grasp.
