I miss you 

And that seems like such a generic statement 

But I miss you

I miss seeing you everyday

I miss those beautiful brown eyes

Even though you hated them

I always wanted to get lost in the warmth of them

But you looked away

Gosh I hated how you looked away from me

I realize now that even when we were together

I always missed you

You were right next to me

Yet it felt like a million miles away

So yes I miss you 

But not more than life itself 

I miss what we had

I miss the idea of us 

But I’ll never truly miss you and I together

Because I don’t think we were meant to be “us” forever
