Are you interested in getting a lifeguard certification?
A certification course will be available to participants 15 years and older at Kohala Swimming Pool at Kamehameha Park in Kapa’au. The American Red Cross will hold classes from 9 am to 4:30 pm daily from April 29, 2025, through May 2, 2025.
On the first day of classes, participants must pass two prerequisite swimming skills evaluations to be considered for certification. The course costs $122, and payment must be made in cash of the exact amount.
Participants should bring the following:
- CPR masks for adults and infants
- Swim suit
- Towel
- Sunscreen
- Water and snacks
