We asked six Christmas questions to get find out what students really think about Christmas. Their responses were different and provided interesting facts about their understanding and thoughts on the holiday season. Some students showed a deep understanding of the religious meaning of Christmas, while others shared personal memories and traditions that make the holiday special to them.

“What is the true meaning of Christmas to you?”.

Many students said spending time with family and friends, and getting gifts from special people embodies the true meaning of Christmas. Others said giving back to the community and spreading love and kindness is what Christmas is all about. These responses show the importance of relationships and connections; some focus on the act of giving and making a positive impact on others. It is clear that the true meaning of Christmas varies from person to person, reflecting on others’ thoughts and experiences.

 “Why do you celebrate Christmas?”.

A few people said it’s a fun holiday, it brings deeper and stronger connections with family,  with decorating and being in the holiday spirit as well as spending Christmas with people who have always been by their side helping them through the rough times. Others said they also celebrate Christmas as a religious holiday, honoring the birth of Jesus Christ and recognizing the spirit of the season. Some also expressed that Christmas is a time for reflection, gratitude, and spreading joy to others through acts of kindness.

“Why do you think Christmas is important?”.

Everyone we asked said they think spending time with family, trading gifts with loved ones, creating a strong happiness from past memories, and bringing family and friends together to create a strong bond, was important. They also said that Christmas is a time to appreciate the blessings in their lives and to reconnect with loved ones. Many pointed out the importance of traditions and how they help to create a sense of faith and loyalty between families and communities.

“When do you start making your Christmas list?”.

A number of people said they start making their list one or two months before December. They explained that starting early allows them to carefully decide on what they want. Some mentioned that making a Christmas list is not just about receiving gifts, but also about expressing their goals and sharing their interests with others. Making a Christmas list is an exciting and joyful tradition that adds to the excitement and magic of the holiday season.

“When do you start shopping and where?”.

A few people said they start shopping when they find something that someone will like. They would shop all year around at any store that the parents will take them to. Others said they choose to start shopping closer to the holiday season, like usually in November or early December, as it makes it better because of the advantage of sales and discounts. Some also said that they enjoy shopping online, as it offers a wider choice of options and the advantage of having the items delivered directly to their doorstep. Everyone agreed that the joy of finding the perfect gift for their loved ones is what matters most, no matter when or where they start their shopping.

“What is your least favorite thing about Christmas?”.

Some students said they didn’t like reacting to gifts they don’t want or like and other students said they didn’t like when they learned that Santa wasn’t real. This tells me that students have a range of dislikes when it comes to Christmas, from the disappointment of receiving unwanted gifts to the cause of discovering the truth about Santa Claus. It is clear that the students’ thoughts on Christmas are shaped by their experiences and feelings.

I believe that the true meaning of Christmas is – “LOVE” Jesus is the Reason For the Season!”
As Christian we celebrate His Birth. Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
God so Love the World that He gave His one and Only Son. Jesus Christ.
Take the time to listen to the song “Mary Did You Know”

    Merry CHRISTmas To All!
