Earth Day

Earth Day

What is Earth Day and what’s so special about it? Well, Earth day happens every year on April 22nd. Earth day is currently being celebrated in countries across the globe and has been celebrated for 54 years, including this year. This event helps bring people together from different backgrounds, races and beliefs, in an ongoing effort to protect the Earth. This is an annual event that raises awareness and appreciation for our environment. It all started back in the 1970s, and was one of the first globally recognized environmental movements.

The reason for Earth Day was to encourage people in communities, governments and basically all the people in the world to take action to protect and preserve our planet for future generations. As the years go by, our planet might eventually harm all of us because of how we have harmed it with waste around us, harmful gasses that have contributed to a change in the climate.

There are many actions that we can do to prevent more damage from happening, like planting and even protecting native plants of Hawaii and in other places. We can clean up around the beaches and oceans, use less plastic and recycle.

With Earth Day happening, it reminds us of the importance of our Earth’s natural resources and why we should protect them. It also inspires young people to care for the environment and  even be more appreciative of our environment because now it’s changing.

Earth day is a very significant day that help the earth and us as human beings recognize the harm we did to the earth and what we can do to solve that problem. In my opinion harmful gasses is warming up the planet causing climate change and is also hurting our atmosphere that protects us from sun rays and asteroids in space the solution for this is probably less burning fossil fuel and less oil plants for example taking the bus or walking to place close to you instead of driving
